OVERCURRENT PROTECTION WORKSHOP


Cooper Bussmann will be conducting an Overcurrent Protection Workshop on Monday May 5th, 2003 exclusively for the May 2003 IEEE I&CPS Technical Conference at the Hyatt Regency - Union Station in St. Louis, Missouri.

This workshop is being offered at NO CHARGE to people who are not current members of IEEE - I&CPS in a effort to encourage participation and membership in future I&CPS Conferences.

The workshop agenda will include:

  • Introduction to the IEEE Color Books
  • Overloads, Short-Circuits, and Calculations
  • Overcurrent Protective Device Ratings, Types, Construction, Operation
  • Current Limitation and Component Protection
  • Cooper Bussmann Gubany Center Tour/Demonstration.
  • Series Ratings
  • Selective Coordination
  • Electrical Arc Flash Hazards and Safety

In addition, workshop attendees will be given a pass to attend the I&CPS Technical Conference Paper Sessions on Tuesday, May 6th and Wednesday, May 7th at at the Hyatt Regency - Union Station. This will give the workshop attendees a chance to view the IEEE - I&CPS Technical Conference proceedings directly.

Cooper Bussmann is pleased to offer this workshop for the IEEE - I&CPS Technical Conference free of charge. For the workshop, Cooper Bussmann will provide a continental breakfast, lunch, refreshments during breaks, and transportation from the hotel to/from the Cooper Bussmann Gubany Center.

The workshop is limited to 25 participants, however, additional registrations will be accepted in case of cancellation. Attendance will be confirmed with all registered participants two weeks and one week prior to the workshop.
