TED MAGAZINE POSTS NEW MASTER FORMAT COLUMN

TEDMAG.com has posted a special column on the entire MasterFormat mess -- which sees Mechanical Electrical Plumbing work on construction sites moving from 2 divisions of the CSI document -- to five.

Does this mean five subcontractors where there have been just two?

What about the Div. 15 vs. Div. 16 mess on VFDs and motor control centers?

OK, so NECA doesn't like the new format. What do the mechanical contractors say?

Why does the director of the Natl. Systems Contractors Association look like the cat who ate the canary?

What role did BICSI play in this mess?

How on earth did we get to this point?

And . . . where do we go from here?
