120 volt GFCI Protected Receptacle Outlets – REQUIRED LOCATIONS

The following is a GFCI History Chart that shows when GFCI over current protections were adopted by the NEC. The chart shows the locations and when they were mandated to the current required locations for today’s standards.
That was good. It was a longtime in our jurisdiction before a code replaced that 2005 code. It would interesting though to do the same developmental history for arc fault protection in residential applications.
