Mike Holt discusses proposed 2023 NEC changes with NFPA's NEC Facebook!

Mike has played an integral part in the process for the 2023 NEC and attended the NFPA Conference & Expo held in early June when the annual Technical Meeting covering the NEC was covered. During the meeting, many pre-approved Certified Amending Motions (CAMs) were heard on the floor and voted on by the large number of eligible voting members who were present. All that remains to finalize the 2023 NEC is for submitted appeals to be heard by the Standards Council when they convene in early August, followed by their anticipated final issuance of the 2023 NEC.

Part 2 of his talk with NFPA hosts "Talking 2023 NEC with Mike Holt - Part 2" is slated for Wednesday, July 27 at 6:00 pm EST.

Add the date to your calendar so you dont forget. Stay tuned for more information on the NEC Facebook page during the week of July 25 for a link to sign up for the event.

If you missed Part 1, in late June Mike joined NFPA hosts Dean Austin, Senior Electrical Specialist, and Corey Hannahs, Senior Electrical Content Specialist, to discuss what Mike believes are the most significant possible changes to the 2023 NEC and how these changes may impact professionals on the job. Topics included:

  • Arc Flash Hazard Warning Labels
  • GFCI Protection
  • Island and Peninsula Receptacles
  • Working Space/Level Surface
  • Energized Part Barriers
  • Feeder Taps and Transformer Secondary Conductors

You can sill watch the recorded video on NFPA's NEC Facebook page.
