Milbank U9090-O 200 Amp Single Phase Meter Socket

Milbank Mfg.’s Sales Engineer has sent out a letter regarding a “potentially dangerous” situation with their U9090-O meter sockets.

If the unit is installed, DO NOT ENERGIZE! Contact Milbank for instructions for having the unit returned and a new unit shipped out. If the unit is not installed, they will arrange to have it returned for repair or be replaced.

This is the underground box used by National Grid NY. It has stud lugs for the line feed. It is not the standard 200 amp. UG/OH box used by NYSEG and RGE as well as others.

Please watch for these in NG area as well as any other utility using these boxes.
