Do Not Text and Drive

Each year around the holiday time we want to send you a sobering reminder of the dangers of texting while driving.

Many states have instituted laws prohibiting it, but that doesn't stop many people - especially teens. Texting and driving is one of the most dangerous forms of distracted driving that there is.

It starts with you - no amount of justification makes it okay.

Mike Holt's Comment: If you still text while driving - I hope after you watch the video you’ll recommit to never send another text message while driving. Let’s help make the world a little safer because of our personal decisions.

  • Thanks Mike. Even though we already know not to text and drive, a regular reminder is crucially important, and needed.

  • The technology sector needs to seriously focus on providing a feasible, tamper-proof way to make it impossible to text and drive. Once this is accomplished and it is phased into new vehicles, the problem with improve. We as a society have been proving for years we will not stop on our own.

  • IPhone + Car Play + Ford Truck Siri helps me text while driving while fully focused on surviving the trip.

Hands free phone works well as well. Ex: Siri call Ryan

  • It's so hilariously WRONG to blame youthful people for texting while driving. Adults do it just as much. Those under 20 are probably safer because their reactions times are better, their vision is better and they're used to having a grip on their phones while for older people they're fumbling with new technology. It's very dangerous when anyone does it but blaming the kids is shirking responsibility.

It's also hilarious that the words teeen and y0ung are forbidden in comments.

  • thank you for the video of don't text and drive, so wish we could get all people to do so. I see it way to often too and from work, ticks me off every time. always hoping that the texting person doesn't hurt or kill someone. as if drinking and driving wasn't enough for tragedy now we have this texting crap.
