Description The Electrical & Renewable Energy Technology program is designed to meet the growing need for electrical engineering technicians and electricians with the skill set to handle the growing demand for "green" sources of power. Students will learn about the production of electrical energy from wind, solar, and other renewable energy sources. Graduates may begin their careers as electricians or electrical energy technicians in the wind, biofuels, hydrogen, solar, energy auditing, photovoltaic, or energy management segments of the electrical energy industry. Advanced electricians / technicians will be needed to design, install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, automate, and monitor equipment associated with electrical and renewable energy systems.
