TEXAS PASSES NEW LAW REGULATING ELECTRICIANS

House Bill 1487, passed by the 78th Legislature and signed into law by the Governor on June 22, 2003 provides for statewide regulation of certain types of electricians through the establishment of a state licensing program. The bill becomes effective September 1, 2003 but statewide licenses are not required until September 1, 2004. Applications will be available in Spring 2004.
