Electrician for 9 years after serving TVA / IBEW Apprenticeship. Went back to college at the Univesity of Tennessee and graduated with Highest Honors with a BS in Electrical Engineering. Taught for 4 years for the U.S. Navy as an officer at Naval Nuclear Power School. Studied for and earned a MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Florida. Employed by Eastman for 22 years, first as a design engineer and currently responsible for corporate electrical safety.

Electrical safety, including arc flash protection, compliance with NFPA 70E, and safe work practices. Member of NFPA 70 National Electrical Code Panel 6, representing the American Chemistry Council.
