The NEC® rules that govern Solar PV systems are complex and span not only Articles 690 and 691 but almost every chapter in the NEC.  With the recent introduction of Interconnected Power Production Systems and Bi-directional Current Flow, rules in other sections of the Code affect almost every location PV may be installed.
