License Requirements

"Electrical contractor" means any person who engages in the business of electrical contracting under express or implied contract or who bids for, offers to perform, purports to have the capacity to perform, or does perform electrical contracting services under express or implied contract. The term "electrical contractor" shall not include a person who is an employee of an electrical contractor and who receives only a salary or hourly wage for performing electrical contracting work. To be approved to take the examination, you must be approved by the Board. Submit your application and fee. The Board uses the services of PSI Exams (800) 733-9267.

Regulations, Laws and Administrative Functions: 30 questions Technical Functions: 110 questions Additional pre-test questions: 22 (15 for Class I) Total of 8 hours to complete both parts of the Electrical Contractors licensure examinations (4 hours for each, with a break in between)
