License Requirements

    • Taken and passed the reciprocal state's examination;
    • Held the reciprocal license for at least one year;
    • Have at least 8,000 hours under the supervision of a master electrician.

Reciprocity

  • Arkansas, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Wyoming

Exam Testing Company

  • Applicants must file an application before becoming eligible to sit for the examination. Follow the instructions to file the application. Applicants will be notified by mail if their application is incomplete.Licensing examinations are administered by PSI (800) 733-9267

Testing NEC Edition

  • 2023 NEC effective October 1, 2023

Exam Details

  • 80 questions, 240 minutes
