License Renewal & CEU Requirements

License Renewal CEU Requirements Kentucky Electrical Continuing Education Required:All licensed Kentucky electricians (ME/EE) and Kentucky contractors (CE) are required to attend 6 hours of KY approved continuing education courses each year:
  • Kentucky CE license holders need 6 hours of business-related classes
  • Kentucky ME/EE license holders need 6 hours code only classes.
A maximum of two (2) of the six (6) hours of continuing education required for Kentucky electricians, master electricians, and electrical contractors may be safety practices and procedures.

Kentucky Electrical License Renewal: Licensees must complete a Kentucky approved courses by the last day of the their birth month each year.
